Summer break, and what's to come
Our updates for the next couple of months. Take a seat and dig in.
Hey cybernauts! We hope you’ve been doing well.
It’s not easy to stay optimistic in today’s climate, so we hope you can be surrounded by the friendship and love of your close ones.
This month, we have the following to share with you:
How were the shows?
We’re going on holiday, sort of

How was it? Great!
Aveiro - Rock in Ria
This was the first of two shows on a weekend where I was dealing with some stubborn back pain. Strained it earlier in the week doing something stupid (can’t even remember what, which makes it more frustrating). It wasn’t ideal, but I managed to stretch and breathe through it. Rock'n’roll posture: semiparalysed but vibing.
Rock in Ria was outdoors, sunny, and had this easygoing summer energy. So much, that we even got some sunburn. It was at Universidade de Aveiro, and I’m glad the students are doing these kinds of events, I think there’s a missing link between the Portuguese underground and indie scenes and the university/college community. Lately, we’ve been trying a lot of new songs, and the people’s reception was warm – even without knowing the new ones, they were vibing. Some knew the old songs, others were just discovering us. Either way, we felt the love.

Guimarães - Blackbox CAAA
This show felt like payback in the best way. We were supposed to play CAAA back in January, but van troubles (because of insurance fuckups) left us stuck and gutted. So this time, we came in ready to make up for it—with extra energy and a fully functioning vehicle.
We shared the night with Maquina., who were absolutely killer. Tight, loud, and relentless in all the right ways. If you are part of the rare people on this country that haven’t seen them live yet, do yourself a favour.
The room itself? A full-on sweat lodge. By the third song, it was harder to breathe inside than in a gas station toilet close to a football stadium after a game. We were drenched, the crowd was drenched, the walls were probably crying too. But somehow, all that heat made the night feel more intense and raw. The crowd was amazing —totally locked in, singing along, moving with us. It's the kind of show that reminds us why we do this, back pain and all.
Can’t wait to come back.

We’ll be back in August…
So, we've got some bittersweet news to share with you all - we're taking a temporary hiatus from sending updates, but don't worry, it's not because we've run out of riffs or ideas (although, let's be real, that's always a possibility).
The reason for our radio silence is that we'll be out of office for the next couple of months, working on some top-secret projects that we can't wait to share with you. We've got not one, but TWO brand-new records ready to go, and we're itching to get them out into the world, to start the process of touring again, and see you all in the flesh once more. But before we can do that, we need to put our heads down and focus on finishing up our third record (yes, you read that right - we got two records ready to go and are working on a third, these bitches gotta work, damn).
On top of all the music-making magic, we're also in the process of moving houses, and rehearsal spaces, which is basically just a fancy way of saying we're going to be surrounded by boxes and chaos for the next few weeks. But hey, it'll be worth it in the end, right? That’s what they’re telling me, *nervous laughter*, if you wanna help us have fewer things to pack and unpack, you can head to our Bandcamp and buy the rest of our merch stock (please, please, please). We got you a 20% discount code: summer2025 (expires August 30th)
So, what does this really mean for you, our loyal fans? It means you won't be hearing from us in June and July (bummer, I know), but trust us, we'll be back in August with a bang! We'll be announcing our brand-new record, titled “You Have Fallen… Congratulations!” sharing some of the new music we've been working on, and all the big news surrounding this release.
We're beyond excited for what's to come, and we can't wait to share it all with you. We'll catch you all on the flip side, with new music, new energy, new ridiculous hairstyles, new favourite snacks, new video games to procrastinate with, new excuses for why we're late to rehearsal (which is strange, since we rehearse at home), and hopefully, a few less boxes to unpack.

That’s all, folks!
Thanks for reading this far. Here’s a quote we enjoy:
“As for the farmers, provincial and peasant, they are traditionally opposed to any government in power and so are automatically in favour of change, good or bad.”
― John Steinbeck, in his book "The Short Reign of Pippin IV"
Have a wonderful week. We love you.
